Our 2023 Wrapped: A Year of Extraordinary Achievements
“Can you believe it's already New Year's Eve, 2023? It’s that time of the year to reflect back, review and celebrate.
Here I am just taking a moment to hit the pause button and look back at the incredible journey we've had. And the only words that come to my mind are GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION for the incredible team, the amazing family we have build over the years - a full-on, absolutely-wonderful decade at Zeus+Dione. I’m a firm believer that nothing matters more than the people and nothing can be done unless it’s a team effort.
Ten years of diving deep into every corner of Greece, finding those amazing craftspeople and artisans – the real heroes who make our brand shine. It's not just another year ticking by; it's like we've hit the peak of a mountain we've been climbing since day one. This year has been THE year for us, and I'm not just saying that lightly. We've had some seriously mind-blowing moments that have taken Zeus+Dione to new heights. Let me take you on a quick whirlwind tour.
First, the launch of our “Philoxenia” Collection in Paris was a milestone. A collection, rooted in our philosophy of merging past and present, adorned and doric, noble and humble, embodied more than just aesthetics. It was about how we live, the connections we create, and the spaces we inhabit. Our homes are not just physical structures; they are emotional landscapes where memories and feelings coexist. This collection was our tribute to hospitality, warmth, and kindness, encapsulating the very essence of φῐλοξενῐᾱ.
The second highlight, the most emotionally resonant for me, was our 10-year anniversary Catwalk Show at the Port of Piraeus. Against the magnificent backdrop of the "Hellas Liberty", we unfolded a monumental event, a celebration of a decade of Zeus+Dione. The electric atmosphere, with 300 spectators from around the world, was a testament to our journey. The Resort '24 collection designed by the talented Marios Schwab, our amazing Creative Director for the past 3 years, was a fusion of Greek artisanal legacy and modern zeitgeist, showcased on a runway aglow with copper, was a dream turned reality. Honestly, it was an indescribable confluence of emotions, a visual representation of everything we’ve dreamed up over the years.
Then, a long awaited and our first-ever Zeus+Δione Menswear Collection that Marios Schwab redefined masculinity, blending shapes, fabrics, and shades to create a unique cult-summer vibe. It was a symphony of poetry, music, and architectural marvels, capturing the essence of Greece’s "Golden Era."
Lastly, one of our most ambitious and challenging projects came to fruition this year – the launch of AEGEAN’s new crew uniforms. This extensive production, a testament to our incredible team's effort, brought forth a blend of heritage and contemporary design, aligned with AEGEAN's Neo-Era vision.
What a ride, right?
As I close this chapter, emotionally charged yet brimming with ambitious ideas for 2024, I am filled with dreams and determination. Alongside my extraordinary team, the family of Zeus+Dione, I am ready to turn these dreams into reality.
